March 20, 2020
We wanted to inform everyone that our building will be closed for church services due to COVID-19 until further notice. We are following the government recommendations and want to do our part as a church for our community.
Even though our doors are closed our hearts are open to show love wherever possible. As a church we are to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matt 12:31). Church members, we encourage you to show your love in tangible ways; if you have extra to give this is a time to share. This is also a time to connect, call people who are isolated and offer a listening ear and words of hope.
We are called to minister however we can, even the midst of a storm. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1). We are not to live in fear for our hope is in the Lord.
“So do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:6-7
We will be moving our Sunday services online from this Sunday. This will include a sermon from our preaching team, worship, and prayer. Please check our website and facebook page for details about this Sunday’s online service. You will be able to email prayer requests. We will also be sending out email links to an interactive online kid’s church. Please watch for updates and access information. We would also want to love Revelstoke with our benevolent fund.
If you know of people who are elderly, single parents, and or struggling financially we would like to help. We can offer care packages of groceries up to $50. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free email the office at [email protected]
May you be blessed in these times.
