What We do And Why? |
|
|
All teens welcome! Grades 7 to 12 We gather weekly to experience God, share stories, eat, laugh and support one another. We do this by being part of and interacting in Sunday morning church services, our own times each Sunday night at S.N.I. and every second Friday night. Our youth group exists to show others the joy God brings and the hope found in him, to connect with other Christians, to help each other grow in our friendship with God, and encourage teens to use their talents for God and others.

S.N.I. is a fun evening that starts with music and dance. We then go to the youth room where we engage in discussions about issues affecting our daily lives. We often use movie clips to generate discussions about topics relevant to today. There is always good food and opportunities to talk about the week and things going on in each others lives.

|
Every second Friday we meet to do something fun. Every year we start the fall with a camping trip to Nakusp, go to Youth conference in the spring and participate in the 30 Hour famine in April. Friday night activities include such things as Gym nights, concerts, movies, games, "The Great Escape" etc.

We always have a number of adults that participate each week and are
there to support our youth in their daily lives. We feel strongly about
our commitment to our youth and walking with them through the struggles
they face and we feel privileged to be part of their lives. We need Your Involvement There are many areas youth can get involved in our
church such as drama, sound board, music team, power point, kids'
programs and we are always open to new ideas. We want teens to invite their friends and look forward
