international work
The Christian & Missionary Alliance was founded just over 100 years ago with the priority to share the good news of Christ locally and around the world.
We support our international workers by giving to the Global Advance Fund, which distributes the resources to the different international workers around the world. Right now the Alliance has nearly 260 Canadian international workers belonging to a team of 1,100 Christian and Missionary Alliance serving in 45 countries of the world.
The Canadian Pacific District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance has divided up our district in to "clusters". Each "cluster" has an international worker assigned to that region. Our international worker is:
lisa rohrick
After graduating from high school, Lisa attended Canadian Bible College, then completed a B.Sc. in biochemistry at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC. That was followed by 6 months of travel which confirmed her call to missions. She then enrolled at Canadian Theological Seminary where she completed her educational requirements for missions. Lisa then spent the next 3 years in Pennsylvania doing her home service which consisted of working full time at Christian Publications in Camp Hill. During this time Lisa wrote 2 books, the first one; Both Feet On God's Path (the story of Julie Fehr, missionary to Gabon, Africa) and Any Road, Any Cost, which chronicles the stories of Alliance missionaries caught in civil wars in Congo and Cambodia. Lisa was then appointed to Benin, Africa as an interantional worker with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. She spent 1 year studying French at Laval University and is now in Niger, Africa ministering to the Fulani people.
